Purchases avoid materials with excess packaging, use concentrates which
use less packaging and transport, use of refills, re-use carrier bags


•         Improve energy efficiency

Transport
reduce milage through use of satellite navigation, regular tyre
pressure checks, regularly serviced and maintained vehicles, efficient
driving techniques, avoid unnecessary journeys, bicycle for local errands.
Looking at possibility of LPG instead of petrol. 20% less carbon dioxide
than petrol.
Heating/cooling adjusted according to demand, not on when not required.
Insulation walls of unit lined
Lighting adjusted according to demand, not on when not required.
Laundry only full loads washed, at lowest temperature to effect cleaning
Steaming/ironing not on when not required.
Electrical office equipment computer on standby within 10 minutes of non
